I am a graduate of Animal Behavior College where I earned my certification as an ABC Certified Dog Trainer. Animal Behavior College (ABC) is approved by the Bureau for Private Post secondary and Vocational Education and is an internationally recognized school. My year long commitment to this program has provided me with a formal education in canine obedience training and understanding behavior and its motives. My certification, education and experience provide me the skills required to effectively and humanely train your dog while keeping alive the spark that makes your dog so special to you.

Introduction to Treibball is an 6 week session that teaches the basic commands for the game, positioning on the ball, to push or drive the ball, and ball control. Each session is 45 minutes long. The cost includes the use of appropriate size fitness ball, touch stick and weekly written lesson plans.

The Nose Knows!
This is an Introduction to Nosework class that focuses on teaching you how to encourage and develop your dog's natural scenting abilities by using their desire to hunt and their love of toys, food and exercise. It's a great class for your dog to have fun, build confidence, burn lots of mental and physical energy, and to find out just how good your dog's nose really is!
Rally Obedience: Rally offers both the dogs and handlers an experience that is fun and energizing. The canine team moves at their own pace, very similar to rally-style auto racing. Rally was designed with the traditional pet owner in mind, but it can still be very challenging for those who enjoy higher levels of competition.
A rally course includes 10 to 20 stations, depending on the level. Communication between handler and dog is encouraged and perfect heel position is not required, but there should be a sense of teamwork between the dog and handler. The main objective of rally is to produce dogs that have been trained to behave in the home, in public places, and in the presence of other dogs.
The Dog Sport Sampler Class is a great option for puppies and dogs if you are trying to spice up the monotony of your training schedule, are trying to feel out what your dog’s interests and/or strengths are or just want to try out dog sports for the 1st time! Whether it be rally obedience, Nosework, agility or trick training, each meeting you will learn basic skills in a different dog sport so you can dip your paws in the water a little!

Please read this if you are considering training sessions. For clients experiencing behavioral problems I usually do a mix of Basic Obedience and specific problem solving during each session. At the end of each of my sessions I give homework assignments for the owner to practice before the next session. It is ABSOLUTELY NECESSARY that the owner put in the time to do these homework assignments with the dog at the frequency suggested. Basic Obedience is essential to correcting problem behaviors because it will teach the dog alternative, positive behaviors and reinforce the owners position as leader in the home. Correcting behavioral issues and practicing Basic Obedience take time, patience and consistency. While it would be ideal for me to come into your home and resolve an issue in one or two sessions with no additional time and effort put in by the owner, this is not the reality in most cases.
